Energy Weapons requite "battery power" from your powerplant, and it can overheat your ship very quickly. There are Energy Weapons and Ammo Weapons (not sure about exact terms). ![]() This means your opponent won't have time to dodge them using flares. You can start locking them at 1500m, which is fine, but don't fire them until you're <300m or something. ![]() This means that firing missiles from far away is useless.
